Description: Author Mary Noe, St. John’s University professor, got involved in special education when her son was identified with special needs at age six. Since then, it has become her career. Mary Noe JD teaches in the Legal Studies program of St. John’s University, College of Professional Studies, and is an adjunct professor teaching Special Education Law. She serves as an Impartial Hearing Officer for the New York State Department of Education.

Mary McCaffery MS has taught business subjects at the Connecticut State School for Girls, has served as a consultant to the National Business and Disability Council, and is currently a member of the Nassau County Planning Commission.

Robert Meagher PsyD has taught at the elementary school level and worked as a therapist for children and families at St. Vincent’s Mental Health Clinic in Brooklyn.
