Description: When teachers are asked which is the single most important skill they need, they overwhelmingly reply “management of behavior.” Authors Dr. Barbara Bateman and Annemieke Golly have years of experience designing and implementing behavior intervention programs, and will help you create one in your school. The first half of this book features 20 tips to help you deal effectively with behavior problems – for example, “Pay attention to the behavior you want.” The second half explains Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and provides numerous samples to help you learn to write your own.
